Prof. Francis Gbore, the Vice-Chancellor of Sam Maris University (SMU), Supare-Akoko, has felicitated Muslim faithful over the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammad.

In a warm congratulatory statement issued on Monday, the erudite scholar urged Muslim faithful to be resilient, imbibing the spirit of tolerance and acceptability of everyone as a kinsman irrespective of diversity in language, race, religion and political affiliation.

He said “I extend warmest congratulations to all Muslim faithful on this joyous occasion of the celebration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed. As we reflect on the life and teachings of the Prophet, I wish to encourage everyone to imbibe the virtues of love, compassion, and peace that the life of the Holy Prophet exemplified.

“I also urge Muslim brothers and sisters to intensify mien for tolerance and peaceful co-habitation, regardless of differences in language, tribe and religious or political affiliations. It is through unity, understanding, and respect for one another that we can foster a peaceful and prosperous society.

“However, I would like to seize this opportunity to remind parents, guardians, and prospective candidates that admission into Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.N.Sc.), Medical and Laboratory Science, Computer Science, Mass Communication, Criminology and Security Studies, Accounting and a host of Social, Management, Environmental and Applied Science courses for the 2024/2025 academic session is ongoing in our institution, Sam Maris University, Supare-Akoko.
